Brandi Rhodes recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet. During that, she mentioned that she took her retirement from in-ring action. She went on to say that it was too hard and stated that she didn’t think returning to in-ring action would be the best for her family.
Rhodes said “You know, not as an active competitor. For sure. [You’ve retired as a wrestler?] Yeah, I mean, it was really anticlimactic. But yes, I did. I just said you know what? Okay, well, we are either gonna do this the Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins way. And they are amazing for doing it, because I can’t. It just was too hard, well not too hard, but just something that I just didn’t think would be the best for the family“
She continued, “So, you know, we’ve gone a different route, and I’ve started business ventures on my own and he’s doing his thing and we’re just doing a couple of different things.“
However, Brandi Rhodes will be present in Detroit during the upcoming pay-per-view event, WWE SummerSlam 2023, which is all set to take place on August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. She will be present on behalf of the Dusty Rhodes Foundation.
She previously tweeted, “We did so well at Mania, let’s do it again at #SummerSlam !! I will be signing on behalf of the Dusty Rhodes Foundation with 100% of the proceeds going to a Detroit youth sports organization that I have selected. Let’s get together in my hometown and have some fun.”
Also, Brandi Rhodes’s husband, the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has a match scheduled at WWE SummerSlam 2023 against the Beast Brock Lesnar.
