Reports have emerged stating that CM Punk is no longer with AEW, a decision made following his suspension following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry during AEW All In London. The Future of EX WWE Superstar CM Punk

In the pro wrestling realm, we witnessed last year how Sasha Banks and Naomi had a backstage dispute with WWE creative, which eventually led to their departure from the company. Now, a similar backstage confrontation has occurred, but this time in AEW. During the recent AEW Collision event, Tony Khan surprisingly announced that CM Punk had been released from the company. This news came as a shock to both Punk’s fans and the promotion itself, given his significant popularity and marketability.

According to the statement from AEW CEO, CM Punk’s termination stems from a thorough internal investigation into an incident that took place backstage at AEW All In London on Sunday, August 27. After the investigation, the AEW Discipline Committee, in collaboration with external legal counsel, unanimously recommended to Tony Khan that CM Punk be terminated with cause.

Despite some fan speculation about a potential return to WWE for the ‘Second City Saviour,’ it’s important to note that CM Punk had made serious allegations against WWE, including claims of medical negligence, lack of respect, and various other issues when he left the company. Given this history, it’s difficult to envision his return to WWE unless there’s a significant change of circumstances.

Certainly, CM Punk is undeniably one of the most popular and respected pro wrestlers globally, having held world titles in both WWE and AEW. He does have several career options to consider. Following the path of Sasha Banks, who found success in NJPW and gained a substantial following there, is a possibility.

While MMA might not be his primary choice, exploring celebrity matches, akin to what Mayweather has done, could be another avenue for him to continue entertaining fans. Punk has the flexibility to explore various opportunities in the world of entertainment and sports.
