Role of Dana White and Vince McMahon Clarified

The merger between the WWE and UFC was completed on Tuesday morning, according to the new parent company Endeavor.

As part of the merger, Vince McMahon, the Chairman and CEO of WWE, will serve as the Executive Chair of TKO. Meanwhile, Dana White, the former president of the UFC, will assume the role of CEO of the UFC under the TKO umbrella.

TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (TKO) has emerged as a result of the merger between WWE and Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC.

The merger was orchestrated by Endeavor Group Holdings, a global entertainment, sports, and content company. With the completion of the merger on September 12, 2023, both the UFC and WWE will operate as divisions under the newly formed TKO banner.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both WWE and UFC. For WWE, it signifies the first time in its 70-year history that the McMahon family, who founded the company, will not have majority control. However, Vince McMahon’s new role as Executive Chair of TKO ensures that he will still play a vital role in the overall direction and decision-making of the organization.

On the other hand, Dana White’s transition from president to CEO of the UFC highlights his continued dedication and commitment to the sport of mixed martial arts.

Under TKO, White will have the opportunity to leverage his expertise and expand the UFC’s reach and influence.

The merger between the UFC and WWE brings together two powerhouses in the world of combat sports and entertainment.

While the UFC is known for its intense and competitive fights, the WWE is renowned for its scripted, theatrical performances. By combining their resources and expertise, TKO aims to create a unique and captivating blend of sports and entertainment that appeals to a broader audience.

As TKO Group Holdings begins its journey as a media conglomerate, it will be interesting to see how the collaboration between the UFC and WWE unfolds.
