What Did Triple H Say?
During WWE SummerSlam 2023 Post-show press conference, Triple H talked about the incredible SummerSlam 2023 moment involving Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes.
HHH said, “Completely unplanned, completely in the moment. Name the amount of people that Brock Lesnar has gotten up after going through a match like that, shook their hand and pulled them in to hug them before walking out. I know Brock, I work with him all the time. “
He continued, “For me, you know, Brock Lesnar is such a unique athlete, human being, all those things, but I don’t believe he gets the credit he should for being one of the all-time greats at this. You know, an unbelievable athlete at the highest of levels, UFC at the highest of levels but just talking about sports entertainment, in my opinion, one of the greatest of all time.”
What Exactly Happened?
At WWE SummerSlam 2023, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes faced each other in a trilogy match. However, during the majority of the match, Brock Lesnar kept on dominating and manhandling Rhodes. But, towards the end, Cody Rhodes nailed three consecutive Cross Rhodes on Lesnar for the win. Thus, Cody Rhodes defeated Brock Lesnar in their rubber match.
However, following the end of the match, the WWE Universe got to witness an incredible moment as Lesnar showed his respect toward Cody Rhodes. Lesnar came towards Rhodes and shook his hands. He then hugged Rhodes and raised The American Nightmare’s hand. It was itself an amazing moment but now that Triple H has revealed that it was unplanned, it seems more breathtaking.
