Reigns last competed on WWE television at SummerSlam on August 5th, when he defeated his cousin Jey Uso to successfully defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Jey came close to winning the bout, but Reigns benefited from Jimmy Uso’s unexpected comeback, which cost Jey the match and the championship.

Reigns made another appearance on Smackdown on August 11 while the family drama persisted, but that was the last time we saw him on WWE television.
