WWE Return Can Be Postponed Due To Roman Reigns Injury

Although it hasn’t been publicly proven, several Twitter sleuths believe that Reigns was injured as a result of a Uso dive that slammed ‘The Tribal Chief’ against the guardrail.

Reigns has wrestled just five times since ‘The Show Of Shows’ on April 2nd, making a potential injury less of a bother. SummerSlam was his first defence of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship since winning over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.

The “Tribal Chief” has been extremely lucky not to have lost a sizable amount of time with injury throughout Roman Reigns’ nearly three-year title reign. As a result, when news broke on Tuesday morning that Reigns had hurt himself during his SummerSlam fight with Jey Uso, it caused some anxiety. However, Reigns managed to finish the contest, and Jimmy Uso unexpectedly assisted him in keeping the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns Injury Update: WWE Return Can Be Postponed

Reigns did in fact sustain an injury during the SummerSlam main event, and Fightful Select has verified earlier rumours that this happened early on in the match. Reigns is slated to appear on “WWE SmackDown” this Friday, where a special “Hail to the Chief” segment will be staged in his honour, and his other scheduled appearances haven’t yet been adjusted. As of right now, it doesn’t seem serious enough to affect immediate plans.

While Reigns’ condition has not changed in terms of appearances thus far, many uncertainties linger surround the specifics of the injury. There is currently no information available regarding the injury that Roman Reigns sustained, its severity, or whether it will keep him from competing for the foreseeable future.
