Nikki Bella recently spoke on ‘The Bellas Podcast’. During that, she revealed her ex-John Cena getting compared with her husband Artem Chigvintsev by the WWE Industry.
She said, “The one thing that has affected me the most recently is just all the hate Artem gets because they compare him [to Cena]. They’ll say things to him, and Artem will ignore it. Every now and then, he’ll make a comment to me and he’s like, ‘Gosh, your industry can be so brutal. The dancing industry is not like that.“
Nikki and Cena began dating in 2012. Later in 2017, Cena proposed to Nikki following their mixed Tag team match at WrestleMania 33, to which Nikki said yes. Thus, the couple got engaged. However, Cena and Nikki called off the engagement in 2018 and canceled the wedding, which was supposed to take place next month.
Moving ahead, Nikki started dating her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ partner Artem Chigvintsev in 2019. Nikki and Artem got engaged in 2020. A few days later, Nikki announced the news of her pregnancy. Later in July 2020, Nikki gave birth to her first child. Following that, Nikki and Artem got married in August 2022.
Nikki Bella was last seen in WWE at the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble Match. Recently, on March 2023, Nikki and Brie, announced on their podcast, ‘The Nikki and Brie Show’ that their contracts with the company have expired.
