John Cena or Jackie Chan: Who Had a Bigger and Better Screen Time in Netflix Movie Hidden Strike?
Scott Waugh, the man behind the famous Expand4bles franchise, directed Hidden Strike. The movie moves forward to the future, where two completely opposite soldiers fight in the “oil wars.” The movie is shot in 2 languages English and Mandarin. Jackie Chan is the main character in the movie. However, after switching sides, John Cena also jumps into the main character frame after the first half. The movie shows how the two soldiers escort the civilians safely from Baghdad’s “Highway of Death” to the safety of the Green Zone.
Jackie Chan plays the character of Commander Luo Feng (Dragon). Luo leads his private security force, whose task is to extract and rescue the employees from the Yutime Chinese oil refinery. On the other hand, John Cena portrays the character of Chris Van Horne, a former US soldier who is seen on the wrong side at the beginning of the movie. Unfortunately, a personal loss puts him alongside Jackie Chan, who later worked together.
The movie is an action-comedy genre where fans can see jokes revolve around both Jackie Chan and John Cena. The duo is shown in some fight scenes before their journey to the Green Zone. As noted, Jackie Chan is the main character in the movie who bets his life to save civilians alongside John Cena. Both stars have equally shared the screen; however, the duo lacks chemistry with a dull and tired storyline.
Indeed Jackie Chan tried to be his best in the movie, but Cena couldn’t add up to his rhythm, which left the fans unhappy. Hidden Strike failed at the box office but gained a lot of attention on Netflix.
