Gunther vs Matt Riddle Preview
Previously, Matt Riddle along with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defeated The Imperium. Since then tension was seen brewing between Riddle and Gunther.
Riddle then took part in a MITB qualifying match. However, following the match Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser attacked Matt Riddle. Moving forward, Gunther and Kaiser took part in an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match. Riddle now interfered in the match, costing the duo the titles.
Following that on Monday Night Raw, Riddle faced and defeated Ludwig Kaiser. However, Gunther launched a post-match attack on Riddle. Finally, on June 26, 2023, Riddle challenged Gunther to a match at Money in the Bank 2023 for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which the latter accepted during WWE Raw. Thus, Matt Riddle will be facing Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE Money in the Bank 2023.
