Drew McIntyre To Cast in an Action Film
Recent reports claim that WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has joined the star-studded cast in the upcoming action film, “The Killer’s Game“. Apart from McIntyre, the cast of the movie includes famous rapper Ice Cube and WWE Superstar Dave Bautista.
The summary of the film goes like “A world-weary assassin who’s taken a hit out on himself finds a new reason to live after his girlfriend discovers she’s pregnant. Together, they race across Europe, trying to outrun his would-be killers.“
“Follows veteran assassin Joe Flood, who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow. After ordering the kill, he finds out that he was misdiagnosed and must then fend off the army of former colleagues trying to kill him.” (via IMDb)
Apart from Drew McIntyre, Dave Bautista, and Ice Cube, the movie also stars Sofia Boutella, Scorr Adkins, and Ben Kingsley among others. The movie is set to be directed by J.J. Perry.
However, McIntyre’s role in “The Killer’s Game” is yet to be known.
What is Drew McIntyre’s current status in WWE?
Drew McIntyre recently returned to WWE after a three months hiatus. The WWE Superstar returned at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 and confronted Intercontinental Champion, Gunther. The Scottish Warrior then attacked Gunther, igniting a rivalry with the IC Champion.
Also, on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre along with Matt Riddle faced and defeated Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of The Imperium. Also, during the match Gunther was watching from ringside, McIntyre took down both Vinci and Kaiser and sent a strong message to Gunther.
It looks like soon Drew McIntyre will challenge Gunther to a match for the Intercontinental Championship. However, currently, McIntyre will be absent from next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
