During this week’s episode of SmackDown, Wade Barrett made a shocking revelation regarding Brock Lesnar’s attack on Cody Rhodes. According to Barrett, Lesnar was angered by the fact that his match with Omos opened the show, while Rhodes was granted the main event spot.
While it is unclear who came up with this reasoning, it has been widely criticized as a bizarre and illogical motive for such a brutal attack. Many fans and critics have speculated whether the decision was made by Vince McMahon or Triple H, but regardless of who is responsible, it has been deemed a poor judgment call.

Rhodes and Lesnar’s feud began on the Raw following WrestleMania 39. They were slated to partner up in the main event against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, but the situation quickly turned sour.
At WrestleMania, Rhodes had unsuccessfully challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He blamed Sikoa for his loss and was determined to get payback.
Although Reigns refused to grant Rhodes an immediate rematch, he agreed to a tag team match. Lesnar then volunteered to team up with Rhodes, likely motivated by his previous conflicts with Reigns and Paul Heyman.
As a result, tensions ran high during the match, and the budding animosity between Rhodes and Lesnar soon took center stage.

The WWE Universe was left stunned as The Beast Incarnate, Lesnar, viciously attacked Rhodes just moments before their scheduled tag team match. Lesnar’s assault was brutal, as he smashed Rhodes through the announce table and slammed him onto the steel stairs, leaving him unable to leave the ringside area without assistance.
