In 2017, AJ Styles, who held the WWE Championship, who succumbed to a defeat at the hands of the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. In 2018, Brock Lesnar was yet again the Universal Champion, and this time he defeated the then WWE Champion from Smackdown, Daniel Bryan.

We didn’t witness a clash between the WWE & Universal Champion in 2019, but in 2020 Roman Reigns, the Universal Champion from Smackdown defeated the WWE Champ Drew McIntyre from Monday Night Raw. Three defeats in four years for the WWE Champ is a bit too much, but will it change this year?

Big E will carry the prestigious WWE Championship Title into the Survivor Series PPV this year. He will be colliding against the Universal Champion from Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns.
