WWE SummerSlam 2022: Pat McAfee vows to make his in-ring return, Challenges former US Champion
On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Pat McAfee challenged former United States Champion Happy Corbin for a potential match at SummerSlam. Earlier this week, both men had a heated argument on SmackDown after Happy Corbin lost his match against Madcap Moss in the last laugh stipulation.

Initially, Corbin argued with Pat McAfee for disrespecting him on commentary. Eventually, Corbin left the ringside giving a warning to Pat McAfee. However, Pat McAfee didn’t stand back. On this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, he openly challenged Happy Corbin for a SummerSlam match to settle this heated dispute between the two men.

Later that night, the former United States Champion responded to Pat McAfee’s challenge. He said, “I’m in Kansas City and you knew that. You’re in Austin, in your safe place, standing behind your desk, standing on your desk, sitting in your chair, running your mouth… that’s what you do, though. You knew I wasn’t going to be in Austin, so you’re flapping your gums and putting my name in your mouth. Pat, let’s see how tough you really are when we’re standing face-to-face, punk.”

On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Pat McAfee took a bold step to challenge the former United States Champion in front of the WWE audience. Although the match is yet to be made official, WWE Universe has supported tremendously Pat McAfee’s in-ring return.
Earlier this year, Pat McAfee successfully defeated Theory in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania 38. McAfee displayed incredible moves in the squared ring in the AT&T Stadium. Even McAfee shared the ring with Vince McMahon and WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.
