Sarray, who previously competed as Sareee, signed with WWE in 2020. Her debut for the company was delayed due to tha pandemic and she finally debuted in 2021.
Her strong start was undercut when NXT 2.0 came about and she never recovered, despite a rebranding as an anime-esque character who changed by the power of a necklace given to her by her grandmother.

She came back to the United states in December and returned to NXT with a new gimmick in February 2022. This new character used a medallion to transform into a different version of herself. Sarray feuded with Tiffany Stratton, who ultimately emerged victorious. She wrestled twice on NXT UK. She last wrestled on the August 2 episode of WWE NXT, where she lost to Mandy Rose.
A press conference is taking place on May 13th to formally announce the news.

Sarray subsequently commented on the situation in a tweet and stated that she will have her press conference on Monday, March 13, and it will air live on Instagram. She noted that she wanted to share the news herself, but it was reported before she had the chance to do so.
