Recently, The Wrestling Blog gave an update on WWE Backlash. The reports stated Bad Bunny and Damian Priest brought the idea to Triple H and WWE management back in 2021 and WWE.

“I received a information that the decision of having Puerto Rico host Backlash was because of Bad Bunny, and Damian Priest haves been having talks with Management for over a year regarding Puerto Rico hosting a PPV, Bad Bunny brought this idea to Triple H, and management in 2021.”
The Puerto Rico native gave a statement following WWE’s announcement of its return to his native after 18 years. “In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn’t able to attend New Year’s Revolution at el Coliseo. Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event and this time I won’t miss it,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. [H/T Variety]
Bad Bunny made his WWE debut back in 2021 for WrestleMania 37, where he teamed up with Damian Priest for a tag team match against The Miz and Morrison. Moreover, the Spanish rapper also won the 24/7 title and participated in the 2022 Royal Rumble.
Precisely, WWE will look forward to being Bad Bunny into a potential match at the Backlash Premium Live Event. WWE Backlash will take place in Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, 6th May. Currently, WWE is yet to announce its ticket sale.
