WWE Raw Results and Highlights: Check out the big highlights and what happened on WWE Monday Night RAW Episode on January 18: This week’s Monday Night Raw aired live from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The show featured some really good matches with the best one being the first time ever match between Kevin Owens and the United States Champion Damian Priest. Besides the matches, there were some interesting segments as well that kept the audience glued to their seats. What all was offered tonight on Monday Night Raw, take a look.

WWE Raw Results & Highlights:

Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins: The two-man started with a wrestling lock before Lashley floored Rollins with a shoulder takedown. Rollins returned with a sling blade on Lashley and tried going for a Pedigree early on, but the All-Mighty countered and tried placing the Hurt Lock, but this Rollins evaded.

We then saw Rollins sending Lashley outside the ring and dived on him from between the top and middle rope. He succeeded once, but tried was caught by the All-Mighty while diving again. Lashley threw Rollins with a belly-to-belly suplex and we head into commercials.

After the commercial, we saw Rollins working on Lashley’s left leg as he was slamming it on the ring post from the outside. Rollins then returned to the ring and continued working on Lashley’s leg for good. He held Lashley in a cab crusher. Rollins then stomped on the injured leg of Lashley and the All-Mighty was feeling serious pain. Lashley somehow got out of the hold he was in by forcing Rollins outside the ring with an incredible push outside.

Lashley stood on his legs and started his offense. He hit a number of maneuvers and also went for a cover, but Rollins kicked out. Rollins then got to the top turnbuckle and was looking for a high-flying maneuver, but Lashley caught him and the two men launched themselves from the top rope to the mat.

The impact was serious and the two men couldn’t get up quickly after the impact. All of a sudden, we saw The Hurt Business (Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin) in the scene as they attacked Lashley. The referee had to disqualify the bout after The Hurt Business’ intervention and gave the win to Lashley.

The Hurt Business continued their assault on Lashley even after the match got over. They attacked him brutally until the All-Mighty got the better of them and speared Benjamin through the barricade before hitting Cedric’s face in the ring post by hoisting him up on his shoulders.

Rollins was watching all this from the ring and he was pretty much shocked to see what was happening. He went to one of the corners to take a look at the damage Lashley’s spear did to the barricade and Shelton Benjamin. However, when he turned around, The Usos were standing there and they hit him with a double superkick. The Usos were present in the crowd and they made a surprise visit to Raw to knock out Rollins.

Alexa Bliss segment: Alexa Bliss is again seen taking lessons from a psychologist. She didn’t freak out this time, unlike last week, as the Doctor didn’t make her much uncomfortable with his questions. Whatever the Doc was asking her, Alexa only had one answer, i.e., Lilly.

 

 

Backstage: Maryse and Miz get interviewed in the parking lot as they were leaving for the night. They were asked about what they did to Beth tonight. Miz said that her wife has sent Beth to attend medical facilities. He also added that next week it is Maryse’s birthday and he is going to throw one of the biggest parties for her sexy wife.

 

 

The Dirty Dawgs, Apollo Crews & Commander Azeez vs. The Street Profits & The Mysterio’s- Dominik Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler started the proceedings of this 8-man tag-team match. Both Ziggler and Dominik exchanged blows before tagging in Robert Roode & Rey Mysterio respectively.

Rey was looking pretty good and was working pretty well on Robert Roode. He went for a high-flying maneuver, but Roode caught him in mid-air. Before Roode could have hit a move, Rey forced him to the ropes and both men tumbled outside the ring. We now go into commercials.

After the commercials, we saw Apollo Crews getting a tag from Ziggler and he started working on Rey Mysterio. Crews was overpowering Rey and all of a sudden things changed. Crews hoisted Rey overhead but the latter countered with a DDT and tagged in Dawkins but not before Rey & Dominik hit a double 619 on the Dirty Dawgs.

Dawkins ran into Crews and was getting the better of him. It was all chaos and carnage all of a sudden around the ring as all the competitors were bumping into each other inside and outside of the ring. In the closing moments, we saw Dawkins hitting a Spine Buster on Crews and tagged in Ford.

Ford wasted no time in hitting an unbelievable Frog Splash from the top turnbuckle. He pinned Crews to pick up the victory for his team.

After the match got over, Rey and Dominik sent Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford over the top rope giving them a glimpse of what could happen in the Royal Rumble match. Rey then surprised everyone by sending his own son Dominik over the top rope proving that at Royal Rumble it’s every man for himself.

 

 

Maryse and Beth Phoenix face-to-face- Maryse was in the ring and said that she is here to clean the mess of her husband The Miz’s whose big mouth and the habit of taking decisions on his own without consulting her has put them in trouble. She then called out Beth Phoenix as she wanted to talk to her woman to woman.

Beth came out with Edge by her side. The Hall of Famer couple stood on the ramp and patiently started listening to what Maryse had to say. Maryse said that she doesn’t want this match and not even the people want this match. She said it should happen between Edge and Miz and the ladies should be out of this. Maryse added that the two ladies should be friends, best friends.

After listening to what Maryse had to say, Beth told her that she is not going to miss the opportunity to team up with her husband the first time ever and to hit a Glamslam on Maryse against. Therefore, she dropped the idea of calling off this match and went to the ring to hit a Glamslam on Maryse right now.

When she entered the ring, Miz came out of nowhere and tried going after Edge. The Rated-R superstar got the better of Miz but it distracted Beth as she turned her attention on what was happening outside the ring. Maryse took advantage and hit Beth from behind with her purse. Beth Phoenix was floored and later Miz and Maryse opened the purse to reveal to the WWE universe that there was a brick inside.

 

 

Omos vs. Reggie- Before the bell rang, we saw Akira Tozawa, R-Truth, and Tamina chasing the 24/7 champion Dana Brooke. Omos cleared the ring by sending Truth and Tozawa out, meanwhile, Tamina went outside the ring on her own before bumping into Omos.

Reggie tried taking advantage of the scenario and went to the top turnbuckle for a dive. However, he was caught by the giant and Omos slammed him on the mat with a double arm chokeslam. That was it and Omos picked up a win.

Rhea Ripley vs. Nikki A.S.H- Before the match could have started, the segment got interrupted by your majesty Queen Zelina and Carmella. The two ladies started blabbering and humiliated Rhea Ripley. They told her that they warned her before that Nikki is good for nothing.

Queen Zelina was doing nothing but rubbing salt in the wounds. Zelina ended up saying Rhea Ripley that “You are either the most POWERFUL woman in the room or you are nothing!”

As soon as Zelina stopped, Nikki attacked Rhea from behind and beat the holy hell out of her. She send her outside the ring and bashed her into the steel steps. The match could never really start and Nikki A.S.H exited after the assault on Rhea.

 

 

Austin Theory vs. Finn Balor- The two men started off with a classic wrestling lock before Theory took Balor near the ropes but only to get kicked in the gut. Balor then ran face-first into a running elbow of Theory and moved out of the ring.

Theory followed him and bashed him into the barricade on one side. He wanted to repeat the same this time on the other side of the other barricade, but Balor reversed the force with a slingblade and this time it was Theory who got bashed back-first into the barricade. We now head into commercials.

After the commercials, we saw both men inside the ring and Finn Balor was all over him. Theory tried putting Balor through the top-rope but the latter caught him in the mid-air with a sling blade.

Balor then went to the top turnbuckle to place a perfect Coup de Gras, but Theory moved out of harm’s way and hit Balor with a dropkick from behind. The dropkick ruffled Balor’s feathers and Theory placed an ATL on Balor to pick up one of the biggest victories of his shot career.

Backstage: Austin Theory visits Mr. McMahon’s office only to get a cold warning from the Chairman. Vince told Autin to better win against Finn Balor tonight or there will be severe consequences as he may drag him to his office and beat the hell out of him.

 

 

The Alpha Academy’s Celebration- Chad Gable and Otis were in the ring to celebrate their Raw tag-team title win over RK-Bro last week. Gable was on the mic and he started blabbering about himself and big-mouthed his achievements. He then presented his prodigy Otis with a degree of something and the latter acknowledged.

Otis started speaking on the mic but got interrupted by Riddle. Riddle came out on the ramp and started speaking. He started off by congratulating the tag-team champs for their win last week and prepared a speech for them. Once Riddle started his speech, Chad Gable started to get pissed.

He assumed that Riddle must have been here for a rematch. Both Gable and Riddle exchanged words before Gable accepted the challenge but only on one condition. He said that Riddle has to prove herself in a series of Alpha Academy academic tests (The Alpha Academy Academic Challenge). If he and Randy pass the series of academic tests, they will get a rematch.

Things got physical when Riddle tricked Gable to send Otis out to get his hands on Riddle, and Randy came into the ring out of nowhere to hit Gable with an RKO. Riddle then came into the ring and made Randy wear the graduation robe. After wearing the robe, Randy took a mic and said ‘We accept.”

 

 

Damian Priest vs. Kevin Owens- The two men started the fight after the commercial. Damian was the first one to get the upper hand, but soon Owens returned with his offense after he attacked Priest on the back of his leg.

Owens was in control but not for long. Owens tried some chest chops, but that made Priest irate and he started to freak out. To avoid the ferocious side of Priest, Owens opted to go outside near the announce table. Priest tried following him but git caught with a superkick. Owens furthered his offense and dived chest-first on Priest from the apron. We now move into commercials.

After the commercial, we saw both men in the ring and it was the United States Champion in total control. Priest was stunning Owens with his moves, a thunderous clothesline followed by a Broken Arrow. He then went for a cover but Owens barely survived.

Priest then took him to the top turnbuckle for a superplex but Owens sent him down and Swanton was what he nailed perfectly on the US Champion. He went for a cover, but the champ kicked out. The two men keep fighting and we saw several moves from both. Owens was trying a Stunner, but Priest tried countering the finisher with the Reckoning which was evaded by Owens.

Owens then went for a Pop-up Powerbomb and tried covering the US Champ, but Priest didn’t go down. In the closing moments, Owens faked a knee injury and while the referee and a ringside medical official were attending him, he got time to hit a Stunner on the champ and end this prolific bout with a pinfall win.

The Kevin Owens Show with Seth Rollins- Kevin Owens was back with his famous Kevin Owens show. He first welcomed the crowd and then call out his special guest, his best friend Seth Rollins.

Rollins came out and the two men started talking about Roman Reigns. Owens acknowledged the fact that Seth Rollins is the one who created the table of the so-called “Head of the Table.” Rollins then said that Roman fears him because he had to mention his family in their conversation last week on Smackdown and then his cousins were there to help him.

Both men took a shot on Roman Reigns and Rollins said once he beats Roman at Royal Rumble, he will bring back the Universal Championship title to Raw and paint it Red. This made Owens happy and he then made an earth-shattering announcement that he will be entering the Royal Rumble match on Sunday. The two men kept talking until Damian Priest came and interrupted the segment.

He said that the two of them are delusional idiots and no one in the arena believes that Seth Rollins could beat Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble.

He then told Owens that their match tonight is right now. We go into commercials as the two men get ready for their one-on-one match.

 

 

Backstage: Edge and Beth Phoenix were seen talking to Reggie and Dana Brooke. They wished Reggie luck for his match against Omos later tonight. The GrIT couple then moved towards the US Champion Damian Priest.

Edge and Priest were talking when someone sent a note to Beth Phoenix. The note was from Maryse and there was something written on it. The note read that she wants to meet her women to women in the ring tonight.

 

 

Doudrop & Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan & Bianca Belair- The match started after the commercial and it was Bianca Belair and Doudrop who started the match. Doudrop was up with her offense and after a few strikes on Bianca, Becky took the tag from Doudrop.

Becky got a welcome from Bianca Belair with a dropkick and she then tagged in Liv Morgan. Liv worked pretty well on Becky until she was caught with a Manhandle Slam. Becky went for a cover, but Doudrop broke it. She then dragged Becky to her corner and tagged her. After the tag, she returned to the ring and a body dive on Liv Morgan was all just needed to pin her.

After the match got over, Doudrop went towards Becky and hit a situp drop on the Raw Women’s Champion.

 

 

Becky Lynch in the ring- Becky welcomes the Oklahoma crowd by saying ‘Welcome to Big Time.’ She then talks about the likes of Lita, Mickie James, The Bella Twins who are clamoring for a title shot at Wrestlemania against her so that they could become stars because according to Becky, she makes stars out of people and then destroys her.

She then targeted her Royal Rumble opponent Doudrop by saying that she makes stars and gave Doudrop a chance last week by helping her win the triple threat match last week. This led Doudrop to come out to the ring. Doudrop didn’t agree to what Becky said, she entered the ring and said that she didn’t get the opportunity to face her at Royal Rumble, but she did it herself.

The segment was interrupted by Bianca Belair then. She got into the ring and announced that she is announcing herself for the women’s Royal Rumble match, and when she wins it she will either challenge Doudrop or Becky Lynch and main event the Wrestlemania two years in a row.

Doudrop then got interrupted by Liv Morgan. Liv also announced herself for the Royal Rumble match and told Bianca that she would outlast 29 other women including her, to win the Royal Rumble match and at Wrestlemania, she would win the Raw Women’s title. It’s now time for the four ladies to compete in a tag-team match.
