The Beast Brock Lesnar will face Omos at WrestleMania 39. On the recent episode of WWE Raw, Lesnar accepted the challenge to face Omos at the Show of Shows. Although WWE opted for Omos as Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent, he was not originally a backup plan for the Beast. Brock Lesnar is a top superstar and each year WWE features him in one of the best matchups. However, this time the company failed to pick up a worthy opponent for the Conqueror. As per recent reports, WWE never opted Omos as the first backup until several creative changes.

Recently, Ringside News gave insides of Lesnar’s prior opponents pitched for WrestleMania, which had big names like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Gunther. It was noted Stone Cold Steve Austin rejected the WrestleMania match despite a big pay-out, but still Omos was not even discussed at that time.

Later, there were discussions regarding IC Champion Gunther and Bobby Lashley to be Lesnar’s possible WrestleMania opponent until the fall of 2022. However, WWE dropped the plans for both superstars.
“As one can imagine, Bobby Lashley was also on the table for a possible Brock Lesnar WrestleMania match. We’re not sure what happened to cause that one to be off, but that led to Lashley facing Bray Wyatt…who was also pitched for Lesnar.”
On the other hand, Ringside News also reported backup plans for Brock Lesnar apart from Omos “there was an undisclosed ‘backup,’ but that it isn’t factored into creative plans.”
