Gunther has been a dominant superstar from Day 1 of his SmackDown debut. The Ring General has dominated the main roster since winning the Intercontinental Title in June and defeated some of the top superstars like Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura. However, a big challenge is awaiting the Intercontinental Champion at Clash at the Castle.

Recently, the Celtic Warrior sent a message to Gunther after his big win in the fatal 5-way match on Friday Night SmackDown. Sheamus took to Twitter to address his upcoming match with the former NXT UK Champion at Clash at the Castle and gave a bold warning.

Sheamus is desperately waiting for his match with Gunther. The Celtic Warrior is one step away from becoming the Grand Slam Champion. He has won the WWE title 3 times, the US title 3 times, and the Raw tag team titles 4 times.

WWE Clash at the Castle 2022: Sheamus won his opportunity for the Intercontinental Title at SmackDown
On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Sheamus competed in a fatal 5-way match alongside Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Happy Corbin, and Madcap Moss. Sami Zayn gave a dominant start to the match and displayed amazing athleticism in the ring. However, Sami Zayn was unsuccessful in winning the match.
In the ending moments of the match, Happy Corbin tried to steal the win but Sheamus delivered the Brogue Kick to seal his victory. The Celtic Warrior won the match after an intense fight defining his worth to become the No.1 Contender for the Intercontinental Champion.
