Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by five wickets in the final league match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday. The victory also enabled Delhi to take first place in the standings and guarantee a spot in the final game. In the meantime, UPW will play the Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator.
Meg Lanning scored 39 runs off of 23 balls to help Delhi achieve 142/5 in 17.5 overs while chasing a target of 139 runs. In the meantime, Shabnim Ismail claimed two wickets for UPW. Tahlia McGrath’s undefeated 58 runs off 32 balls enabled UPW score 138/6 in 20 overs. For DC, Radha Yadav claimed three wickets, Alice Capsey claimed three, and Jess Jonassen claimed a dismissal.
