Delhi Capitals beat UP Warriorz by 5 wickets in Match 20 of the WPL 2023 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. All-round Alice Capsey sparkled as she took 3/26 and hit 34 off 31 balls to help DC finish top of the table and qualify directly for the final.

Delhi Capitals: The equation for Delhi Capitals is simple. DC did a terrific job of overhauling Mumbai Indians’ run rate with a thumping win last night. Now Meg Lanning’s side only need a victory in their final game to seal a finals bert. A defeat for MI would also confirm their top spot.
Mumbai Indians: MI’s hopes of a table top finish took a hit with two back to back defeats. Now, Harmanpreet Kaur’s side need to beat a resurgent RCB in their final game of the season. MI would hope that DC lose to UP to go top, or hope that their margin of victory helps them overhaul Delhi’s NRR.
UP Warriorz: While a far way off, UP Warriorz could still make the top spot should their stars align. First, they will need RCB to beat Mumbai Indians by a big margin. Then they would have to beat Delhi Capitals by a huge margin. A negative run rate means Alyssa Healy’s side will perhaps have to pull off a massive win to overthrow MI and DC from the top 2 spots.
WPL 2023 Format
As a total of 5 teams are participating, the new system will allow only the top 3 teams in the playoffs system. The bottom two teams will end their journey post the group stage.
The table topper directly qualifies for the WPL Finals, while the second and the third place team will battle amongst each other in a single playoff eliminator to reach the finals.
