Women’s T20 Challenge To Make a Comeback
Though fans of women’s cricket will have to wait at least another year for a full-fledged WIPL, the news of Women’s T20 Challenge’s comeback is certain to be a source of joy. Ganguly has confirmed that after a one-year hiatus, the competition will be making a comeback this season.

“The Women’s T20 Challenge will again be back this year in May. Hopefully, in the future, we will be able to host a bigger women’s IPL. But this year, the Women’s T20 Challenge will surely happen during the IPL playoffs,” Ganguly said in a recent interview with Sportstar.
The Women’s T20 Challenge is a three-team competition contested between Velocity, Trailblazers and Supernovas, with Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur being the leaders. The Supernovas won the first two editions of the competition, while Trailblazers emerged victoriously in the last season in 2020.
