India Women will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign with the first encounter against Sri Lanka Women on Saturday at the Sylhet District Stadium in Rekabi Bazar, Sylhet. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM (IST).

Ahead of the clash, the Women in Blue were seen in the new light blue colors. They will sport this jersey in the continental tournament.

In a photo shared on Instagram, Deepti Sharma could be seen with Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh, and others.

Women’s Asia Cup 2022

  • India Women take on Sri Lanka Women in campaign opener.

  • India Women have won the title six times, making them the most successful team in the competition’s history.

Seven teams will compete in the eighth Women’s Asia Cup 2022 which gets underway on Saturday, October 01. The continental tournament will be held in Sylhet in 2022 in the defending champions’ home country of Bangladesh. The other six teams in the league are UAE, which is making their debut. And India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand.

The T20 format, which has been the standard since 2012, will be used to hold the tournament.
