Star India players are currently in Kolkata before they fly out to Bangladesh for the continental showpiece. Both Smriti and Jemimah arrived in Kolkata on Wednesday. And before flying out to the neighboring country, they spent some quality time with recently-retired Jhulan Goswami.
Taking to her social media pages, Jemimah posted a couple of photos and a video on Thursday. In that post, Jhulan was joined by Team India players. They were all mimicking Goswami’s bowling action in a video.
In the caption, Jemimah Rodrigues wrote: “Who is Famous in Kolkata?? Only Jhulu Didi.” She tagged Jhulan and Smriti on that social media post.

Later in the day, Jemimah posted an update on her Instagram regarding their travel to Bangladesh. She wrote in her story, ” Agla Station: Bangladesh. But pehle adrak wali chai.”
Women’s Asia Cup 2022
Seven teams will participate in the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and UAE. This is the eighth edition of the continental showpiece. Asia Cup 2022 will begin on October 1 (Saturday). The final match will be played on October 15 (Saturday).
UAE and Malaysia qualified for the tournament by reaching the final of the 2022 ACC Women’s T20 Championship, which was played in June 2022 in Malaysia.
The tournament will be played in the round-robin format. Hence all the teams will play 6 games in the league stage making sure all sides face each other once. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. And the winners of those SFs will clash in the final.
