In a video shared by ZOOM TV, Kohli met his fans at the airport. As he does with fans, Kohli happily obliged for a photo.

The former Indian captain had earlier expressed his disappointment after failing to reach the final of the T20 World Cup. But he had also said that the tournament gave the team some memorable moments and that the team will look to improve. England defeated India by 10-wicket to set the final clash against Pakistan.

Sharing the message on Twitter, he wrote, “We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group and aim to get better from here on.”

He thanked the fans who flocked to the stadiums to support the team and said that it’s always an honour to wear the Indian jersey and represent the country.

“Thank you to all our fans who turned up in huge numbers throughout to support us in the stadiums. Always feel proud to wear this jersey and represent our country,” said Virat.

Are seniors being booted out? The next T20 World Cup takes place in the West Indies and the USA in 2024. BCCI is of the view, most of the oldies in the squad will themselves get phased out.

The BCCI official said, they are not concerned about the individuals but about TEAM INDIA.

“We are not concerned about the individuals. They are capable to take their own calls. We are concerned about Indian cricket, team India. What happened against ENGLAND and what has been happening in KNOCKOUTS should stop. All our decision making will be done keeping this thing in mind on how to end this KNOCKOUT ROT”.

Indian team members who can be booted out from T20 SET UP?

  • The average age of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup was 30.6, making them one of the oldest squads in the tournament.
  • At 37, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik was the oldest player and has certainly played his last match for India.
  • R.Ashwin is another one who is unlikely to get a role with T20 TEAM.
  • Rohit Sharma (35), Virat Kohli (33), Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (32), Mohammad Shami may also be fazed out.
