In terms of the dismissal, Kohli made an incredible one-handed effort to remove Shakib from Washington Sundar’s bowling. Following Shakib’s off-drive, Kohli’s sublime short-covers effort ended the Bangladesh cricketer’s stay at the crease. Shakib looked dangerous with the bat, but Kohli’s Superman performance in the field ensured that the Men in Blue had an opportunity.

The reason we said Kohli doesn’t forget is because of the way he got out in the Indian batting innings. The Indian batter was dismissed after Bangladesh skipper Litton Das took a brilliant grab to send him back to the pavilion. The bowler was Shakib Al Hasan, who bowled a gentle delivery to Kohli, who was looking to smash the ball through the cover region. He was drawn into the shot early, thus failing to read the flight properly. During this, Kohli’s one hand came off the handle, and he ended up miscuing the drive to the extra-cover region. Litton Das, stationed in the region, dove to his right rather acrobatically and pulled out a one-handed stunner.
