When Conor McGregor famously hurled a dolly through a bus windshield in 2018, the flying glass wound Michael Chiesa and had him withdraw from his fight with Anthony Pettis at UFC 223. In a previous plea agreement, McGregor admitted to disorderly behavior but was spared jail time. Chiesa also filed a lawsuit against the former UFC champion for the incident, which was settled four years later.

The lawyers for McGregor and Chiesa have submitted paperwork declaring that all parties have consented to drop the action, which cannot be re-filed in the future. A settlement was made, according to MMA Fighting. However, the settlement amount was not disclosed.
