US Open 2022: Rafael Nadal has moved into the second round of the US Open after a win over Rinki Hijikata in the first round. But, off-court problems are becoming a growing concern. The Spaniard ace was angry when he learned about his pregnant wife Maria Francisca Perello’s footage from the hospital was leaked. Follow US Open 2022 Live updates with InsideSport.IN.
As per the reports, Nadal and his family is even thinking of moving Perello to another facility, where such leaks do not happen. Obviously, with such kind of things taking share, Nadal and his wife are worried about it.
It is not only about the leaked video, which is a concern. Perello’s medical information also seems to have been leaked.
Even before the US Open started, Perello had to be rushed to the hospital and kept under observation as a matter of precaution. During the time, with the Grand Slam competition not having started, there were concerns if the player will fly back home and give the competition a miss.
The Spaniard was in regular touch with family members back home, and got regular update about the situation. Eventually he did not go back to Spain, and carried on with his training to prepare for the Grand Slam. As per latest reports, Perello is recovering and the baby is out of danger.

Additional Pressure on Nadal: The US Open is the year’s last Grand Slam and Nadal would be eager to end the season on a high as well. But with the current situation back home, it would not be wrong to say that the player’s mind is occupied with various other off-court stuff also.
It does not augur too well for Nadal, who means business in the US Open. If his mind is pre-occupied with other things, it will be difficult for him to concentrate on the matches and the title defence ahead.
