The multiple-time Grand Slam champion is preparing for the US Open, but back home in Spain, his 31-weeks pregnant wife Mery Parello could undergo operation in the next few hours. As per reports in Spain, Parello has been hospitalised since Monday. It was done as a matter of precaution. She was admitted to a private clinic in Mallorca.
One of the main reasons for her being admitted is that she would be under professional observation. Also, it is to ensure that there are no complications. Though Nadal is not by her side in the hotel, she has her relatives and friends, who are attending her well. As per reports, Nadal’s child is due around the month of October.
Nadal and Parello have been husband and wife for the last three years.

Will Nadal visit his wife? As it stands, there is no confirmation if Nadal will head back home to be with his wife in Spain. He has been attending training sessions as well at the Flushing Meadows. The draw for the US Open is scheduled on Friday, and it would not come as a surprise if the player goes back to Spain and assess the situation before featuring in his match.
The Spaniard, goes without saying, is in constant touch with the doctors and his loved ones to know about the current situation.
