As UFC fighters seek boxing opportunities, prominent boxer Deontay Wilder expresses interest in joining the UFC Octagon.

Deontay Wilder, a highly renowned American professional boxer, gained significant recognition in the boxing world. He held the WBC heavyweight title for an impressive duration from 2015 to 2020, successfully defending it ten times. However, he faced defeat when he lost the WBC belt to Tyson Fury, in a rematch in 2020. It is noteworthy that their initial encounter in 2018 ended in a split draw. Currently, Wilder has expressed his desire to venture into other combat sports and has shown interest in competing in the UFC.

Deontay Wilder Shows Willingness to Enter UFC

In a recent Podcast with Blue Blood Sport TV, Wilder shared his eagerness to compete in the UFC, stating “I’ll be a dangerous man in UFC with 4oz gloves”

Wilder boasts an impressive boxing record, with 46 total fights, 43 wins, and 42 of those wins coming by knockout. With only two losses, he is considered one of the best in the sport.

However, if Wilder were to transition to a different sport like UFC, he would have the opportunity to explore new challenges. In the UFC, he would need to learn grappling and wrestling. It’s important to note that in UFC, there is no ten-count rule after being knocked out.

In recent years, there has been a significant rise in crossover fights between boxing and MMA, gaining immense attention from fans of both sports.
