Which UFC Fights Will Take Place Tonight?

Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev will now square off in a rematch of their epic fight from the fight of 284 in Australia when the Dagestani defeated ‘The Great’ in a closely fought bout.

The UFC successfully made another last-minute switch for the co-main event of 294 fight night in Abu Dhabi.

Originally, Paulo Costa was supposed to co-headline the evening with unbeaten champion Khamzat Chimaev. However, the Brazilian’s horrific elbow infection prevented him from being medically approved to compete. Chimaev will now square off against former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, who steps in on short notice and moves up to 185 pounds for this fight.

Magomed Ankalaev will compete on the main programme for the first time since he and Jan Blachowicz fought to a split draw for the vacant light heavyweight title in December. The opponent is Johnny Walker, who is coming into this battle with a three-fight winning streak that includes two finishes.

Ikram Aliskerov, a prospect from Daghestan, will face TUF winner Warlley Alves in another fascinating fight. Aliskerov is looking to capitalise on his impressive victory over Phil Hawes in his UFC debut.
