Details on the UFC incentives, purse and attendance for the Sao Paulo event have been released by David Shaw, Senior Vice President of International Operations and Content for the UFC.
Shaw showed up for the November 4 post-fight news conference. While he was there, he disclosed that 10,792 people had attended the sold-out event, which included a heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Jailton Almeida.

Fighters Pursed $50K At UFC Sao Paulo After Derrick Lewis vs. Jailton Almeida
The main event was a one-sided contest as Almeida dominated Lewis for most of the bout by using his grappling prowess to score many takedowns. After a full twenty-five minutes of competition, the Brazilian emerged victorious with ease. The contest was judged 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45 in Almeida’s favor by the three judges.
The 32-year-old put up a strong performance, but there was virtually little action in the bout, which prevented both combatants from earning a UFC bonus.
The welterweight bout between Nicolas Dalby and Gabriel Bonfim was the co-main event of UFC Sao Paulo. The two fighters put up an exciting back-and-forth exchange that culminated in Dalby’s second-round TKO victory, taking center stage.
The bout was dubbed the “Fight of the Night,” and each combatant received a bonus check for $50,000.
The main event began with a catchweight (165 pounds) match between Elves Brener and Kaynan Kruschewsky. The battle ended abruptly as Brener brutally knocked out his opponent in the first round.
The 26-year-old was given an extra $50,000 in addition to being listed as one of the recipients of the “Performance of the Night” prize.
In the event’s preliminary round, Vito Petrino and Modestas Bukauskas squared off in a light heavyweight match. In the second round of the battle, Petrino produced an impressive knockout to win.
For his efforts, ‘Merciless’ was also awarded a $50,000 ‘Performance of the Night’ prize.
