Throughout his entire MMA career, Khabib has remained unbeaten and has seldom lost a round. However, there have been only two significant rounds where he was on the losing side, and both of them were against his longtime adversary Conor McGregor and the talented fighter, Justin Gaethje.

For the first 90 seconds of the round, Khabib didn’t attack. During this time, Justin repeatedly kicked Khabib’s legs, which affected his mindset and caused him to increase his pace. From the three minute mark onwards, the boxing was evenly matched, and although Justin landed more headshots, the pressure was still affecting him.

Despite this, Khabib managed to take Justin down with only 30 seconds left in the round and positioned himself for an armbar. However, he didn’t actually try to extend Justin’s arm, and he was never close to getting a submission.

Although Justin won the round, we all knew that he was in trouble going into the second round because of the last 45 seconds of the first round. Even though Khabib had a decent final minute, it doesn’t change the fact that Justin had the worst of the first three minutes.
