Rule No.1:
One of the new rules introduced by the UFC focuses on the five-minute recovery time for a fighter cut by a foul. In the past, this recovery period would often leave the injured fighter without immediate assistance.

This modification offers better support to the injured fighter, ensuring that they receive timely medical attention and minimizing the risk of further complications.

By allowing the cut man to tend to the wound, the UFC demonstrates its commitment to the well-being of its athletes.

Rule No.2:
The second new rule addresses referee positioning after a foul occurs during a fight. Referees now have the discretion to position fighters appropriately after a foul has been committed. This adjustment aims to prevent either fighter from gaining an unfair advantage or suffering a disadvantage as a result of the incident.

By repositioning the fighters, the referee can ensure that the competition resumes on a level playing field, maintaining the integrity of the bout. This rule showcases the UFC’s dedication to fair competition and upholding the spirit of the sport.

Rule No.3:
The third rule introduced by the UFC focuses on the cooperation between ringside doctors and referees following an eye poke or any other foul. In the past, there might have been instances where fighters were prematurely asked if they could see after an eye poke, potentially leading to hasty decisions regarding their ability to continue the fight.

The new clarification emphasizes that doctors should not immediately inquire about a fighter’s vision after an eye poke, as vision often returns with a bit of time to recover.

By allowing fighters the appropriate five-minute break to recover from an eye poke incident, this rule ensures that they are given a fair chance to assess their condition and make informed decisions about continuing the fight.

With the introduction of these three new rules, the UFC continues to prioritize fighter safety and fair competition. By allowing cut men to tend to wounds, repositioning fighters after fouls, and emphasizing appropriate recovery time for eye pokes, the UFC demonstrates its commitment to providing a safer and more equitable environment for its athletes.
