John Jones and Anthony Johnson pulled a hilarious prank on UFC president Dana White back in 2015. Jones, 35, had been set to defend his lightweight belt against Johnson in the main event of UFC 187 in Las Vegas, but their fight was scrapped after he was suspended indefinitely following an infamous hit-and-run incident.
But before that, they each had a part in one of the funniest incidents in MMA history. The two posed for pictures at a press conference to advertise the impending wedding, as is customary.
It happened following Jones and acrimonious rival Daniel Cormier’s violent altercation at the MGM Grand in August 2014.

Anthony Johnson and John Jones feigned to be on the verge of a violent altercation that would have ended badly.
After Jones clearly shown anger by pressing his forehead up against Johnson, the latter seemed to reciprocate by holding him by the throat, which led to a small altercation.
Before realizing he had been the victim of a wonderful practical joke, Dana White made every effort to keep the two warriors apart.
Given that the prefight spectacle was scheduled for just months after champion Jones and opponent Daniel Cormier got into a melee at the UFC 178 media event, White was understandably nervous.
Subsequently, White intervened to rally the competitors this time when Cormier and Jones collided and knocked out former UFC executive Dave Sholler. But in reality, he was the gullible victim this time.
When Jones and Johnson confronted each other and recreated the ugly altercation that occurred in the MGM Grand lobby several months prior, they had intended to “brawl” on stage.
With a look of dread on his face, an irate White raced in to stop them as the champion planted his forehead on Johnson’s, and the two proceeded to push each other.
