Meanwhile, Dana White seemingly came to know about an information that was fresh for him. While most of the fight community seems aware of Mike Tyson being appointed as a trainer for Francis Ngannou, White wasn’t on that list.

The UFC President heard the news straight from ‘Iron’ Mike himself.

Tyson said, “You hear, what I am doing?”

“I am going to be training Francis Ngannou to fight Tyson Fury. Comn, I know you must have heard of it.”

In response, Dana White told, “I didn’t hear that yet. No”

Mike Tyson continued, “Oh yeah, they told me and they bit my arm. I had to do it.”

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou left the company after failing to get his demands met by the UFC President. ‘The Predator’ declined an $8 million offer to defend his championship status against Jon Jones.

Following the split between UFC and Ngannou, Dana White clarified that he shall never allow the former champion to compete in the UFC ever. Meanwhile, Francis Ngannou signed a lucrative deal with PFL MMA, which also involves his equity stake in the company.

Furthermore, Francis Ngannou’s deal with the PFL MMA allows him to make a professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury on October 28 in Riyadh. Hence, Ngannou had to come in touch with Mike Tyson for his next shot at global fame.

Mike Tyson believes Francis Ngannou Can Beat Tyson Fury

33-0-1 as a professional, Tyson Fury is arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer of this era. In a career consisting of 24 active KOs, he has stopped some of the biggest punchers, like Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte.

That said, it’s hard to picture Francis Ngannou beating Tyson Fury in a boxing affair unless done in reality. Meanwhile, Tyson foresees Francis Ngannou having an upper hand in the clash.

The former boxing heavyweight champion said, “It is no secret I back Ngannou 100 percent in this face-off of champions. He has one hard punch, and when it lands, it’s game over. I am looking forward to working with Ngannou and supporting his transition from the Octagon to the boxing ring”
