Meanwhile, a clip from Ariel Helwani’s MMA hour went viral in which Ngannou spoke candidly about how having freedom is what he actually seeks in a deal rather than money.

And talking about the contract, he stated, “The terms of the contract, everything that they put into, they hold you in captivity like you can’t do anything no right. The contract is one sider. Although you still have nothing. You don’t even have health insurance while you are doing this, putting your body on the line.”

While Diaz received a lucrative deal, Ngannou suggests that his interests are different. He was unhappy about risking his health and about not receiving even the most basic health insurance.
