After almost a decade, McGregor has hilariously called out Max Holloway for a rematch. ‘Notorious’ appeared to be enjoying his time in a restaurant when he spotted a person wearing a cap in some other table. Conor McGregor referred to him as Max Holloway and laughed it off. Here’s a look at the video.

Interestingly, McGregor also saw a poster of Rocky Balboa above the person whom he tagged as Max Holloway. McGregor said, “See you for that second fight.”

Conor McGregor and Max Holloway first collided in the featherweight category (145 lbs). Both men have been featherweight UFC champions at some point. However, McGregor left the division long back and has competed at lightweight and welterweight after the win over Jose Aldo.

Meanwhile, Max Holloway had a failed attempt at the Interim lightweight strap against Dustin Poirier at UFC 219 or else ‘Blessed’ has been competing at featherweight. Having lost his title to Alexander Volkanovski, Holloway has now lost thrice to the Australian champion but can have another shot at the UFC belt soon.

UFC: Conor McGregor and Max Holloway are poles apart from each other

Despite losing thrice to Volkanovski, Max Holloway has beaten every other top-rated featherweight star in the UFC. He is currently the number one ranked featherweight fighter and 14th ranked P4P fighter n the UFC. It aligns him for an immediate title shot at 145 lbs.

On the contrary, Conor McGregor has lost his spot in the UFC rankings. He hasn’t won a fight since beating Donald Cerrone in January 2020. Nevertheless, Conor McGregor is still the biggest PPV draw in the promotion. So, a rematch between him and Holloway can’t be ruled off completely.
