Three fight to keep eye on at UFC Vegas 76 Fight Night: Sean Strickland vs Abus Magomedov

The most highly anticipated fight of the event is undoubtedly the main event, with both fighters entering the octagon with recent victories under their belt. Strickland, with his ranking of seventh in the world, holds a higher position compared to Magomedov, who remains unranked in the middleweight division. Despite this, their records are strikingly similar with Strickland boasting a 26-5 record and Magomedov with a 25-4-1 record.

When it comes to Strickland’s striking abilities, he’s no slouch. He lands an impressive 5.7 significant strikes per minute with a solid accuracy rate of 43%. He also has an excellent takedown rate of one per fifteen minutes, with a 64% accuracy. The competition, Magomedov, is a force to be reckoned with. He lands an incredible 22 significant strikes per minute with a perfect accuracy rate of 100%. However, his grappling skills remain a mystery.

One of the fights that is worth keeping an eye on is the clash between Kevin Lee and Rinat Fakhretdinov. Kevin Lee is making a comeback to the UFC after being away for a fight, and he will be facing a formidable opponent in Fakhretdinov, who has been making waves in the welterweight division.

While Lee may be the center of attention in this bout, it’s important to note that Fakhretdinov is a highly capable fighter who has only lost once in his 21-fight career, and that was ten years ago. So, it’s safe to say that Fakhretdinov should not be underestimated.

The upcoming heavyweight battle between Romanov and Ivanov is sure to be a barnburner, with both fighters ranking among the top 15 to 20 big men in the MMA game. Although Romanov has a slight edge as the favorite, it’s important to remember that Ivanov is an incredibly tough opponent who always puts up a fight.
