After Ngannou’s altercation with Tyson Fury over the weekend, it appears White is, if not prepared to accept Ngannou’s return, then at least willing to stop attempting to bury him.

Francis Ngannou To Fight An Unexpected Opponent On December 23, 2023
Based on his strong performance against Tyson Fury the previous weekend, Francis Ngannou appears to be returning on December 23.
Against Fury last month, the former UFC heavyweight champion made his boxing debut. Though Ngannou was favored to win the bout, he gave an incredible performance and even took Fury out in the process. Nevertheless, it was insufficient for him to receive the judges’ approval, and he ultimately lost in a closely divided vote.
Ngannou is anticipated to rejoin the PFL team and return to mixed martial arts, but he is also being connected to another high-profile encounter in the ring, maybe against Fury or another well-known fighter.
After recovering from an injury, Tom Aspinall will face Marcin Tybura at UFC 295 for the interim heavyweight title. This fight might pave the way for Aspinall to challenge Jon Jones, the current champion, for the title.
