As per recent sources from Lucas Almeida’s IG story, his fight with William Gomis which was supposed to take place at UFC Paris has been cancelled.
The two fighters were about to compete for the featherweight 145 lbs at the main card in the Gane vs. Spivak card. The bout has been called off prior to the main event that was scheduled to take place on September 2nd, 2023.
Ciryl Gane wants to start over after suffering a fast loss to Jon Jones in March. against September 2, the UFC will have a card in France, and he will travel there to take against Sergey Spivak.

Fight Cancelled In Gane vs. Spivak Card, MMA Fans Reacts- ‘No Pull Outs’
On the evening of Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Accor Arena, the heavyweight bout between Ciryl Gane and Sergey Spivak will serve as the main event of a UFC event in Paris.
After losing title fights against Francis Ngannou (January 2022) and Jon Jones (March 2023) in the previous 19 months, Gane (11-2) is seeking a third chance at the undisputed UFC heavyweight crown.
The 33-year-old Frenchman is expecting that a victory over Spivak will put him back in the title picture; however, a revitalised Tom Aspinall has already entered the fray as a potential rival for the title.
The remaining bouts on the main card are a women’s flyweight fight between Manon Fiorot and Rose Namajunas, a lightweight fight between Benoit Saint-Denis and Thiago Moises, a light heavyweight fight between Volkan Oezdemir and Bogdan Guskov, and a bantamweight bout between Yanis Ghemmouri and Caolan Loughran.

Fans arent very happy with the last-moment changes, as they commented “As long as there are no pullouts for the main event I’m good That’s the only fight I was looking forward to on this Card in the first place”
