UFC: Islam Makhachev claims to finish Charles Oliveira and his legacy, says “He is not a Professional”
Islam Makhachev on his mission for lightweight title: Islam Makhachev being the byproduct of UFC hall of fame and undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has his eyes set on the vacant title.
Charles Oliveira’s title got stripped due to weight differences. As he weighed half a pound more than the required weight in UFC 274.
Makhachev possesses an incredible record of 22 wins and 1 loss. The loss happened initially in his carrier at UFC 192 against Adriano Martins. Makhachev has been undefeated since then.
His rise is just the same as ‘The Eagle’ with a strong and dominant ground game.
In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, when asked about his view on comparing Khabib and Nurmagomedov, he elaborated on his stand.
Islam Makhachev said, “This is like an easy fight for Khabib,” Makhachev said. “Khabib have the most dominant grappling from top. He’s going to take him down, hold him there. Very easy. I honestly think this is a very easy fight for Khabib. Stylistically, all of [Oliveira’s] pressure is not going to work against Khabib because Khabib pressures all of his opponents.
“We don’t have to say Khabib is going to beat Charles — I’m going to beat Charles. And everybody is going to understand. Honestly, I believe I can finish this guy, and I really want to finish him in the grappling, in his area. I know I can do this.”
The lightweight division is one fire due to the vacant title.There has been no official confirmation about Islam Mkahachev vs Charles olivera yet by the fighting organisation.
