The victim’s accusations that the Askhabov brothers were engaged in a house invasion and robbery in Phuket led to their arrest. But according to REDFURYMMA, a comprehensive investigation found no link between the brothers and the purported crime, leading to their total exoneration.

What Did UFC’s Khusein Askhabov Do To Put Him Behind Bars?

With 23 victories and 1 defeat in his professional MMA career, Khusein Askhabov has an outstanding record. The 28-year-old fighter, who is a member of American Top Team and Tiger Muay Thai, is a native of Grozny, Chechnya, and fights in the UFC featherweight class. On February 18, 2023, he engaged in his final UFC bout, losing to Jamall Emmers by unanimous decision.

Askhabov’s mixed martial arts statistics demonstrate his versatility; of his victories, 26% were via technical or knockout knockout, 43% via submission, and 30% via decision.

The UFC posted a statement on its website in reaction to the initial charges. The group accepted the accusations and the arrest of Khusein Askhabov, but it stressed that it would wait to make any firm pronouncements until it had more information.

The Askhabov brothers and a third person were reportedly accused of breaking into a Phuket property on September 3, which is when the event that resulted in the arrest happened. The victim claimed to have lost expensive watches, an Apple laptop and phone, a bank card, a passport, and other goods worth 12 million Thai baht.

According to other reports, the accused robbers reportedly woke up the victim in the middle of the night, beat him, and questioned him for a number of hours. After the victim escaped and reported the event, the Askhabov brothers were taken into custody. On September 4, the day following the purported incident, the guys are said to have departed Phuket for Dubai.
