UFC: Curtis Blaydes is skeptical of earning a title shot despite fighting the number six ranked Tom Aspinal

Curtis Blaydes upset over next fight: Curtis Blaydes is about to fight heavyweight division number sixth-ranked fighter Tom Aspinall at UFC London on July 23rd. Blaydes, with his competence, holds the fourth rank in the heavyweight division.

The heavyweight division has also a mega-event lineup between No.1-ranked UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane and the No. 3-ranked Tai Tuivasa on the UFC Paris fight card on September 3rd.

However, Razor holds a record of sixteen wins and three losses. His last dominant knockout punch victory over Chris Daukaus in the second round of the UFC fight night’s main event had created higher hopes for him.

Blaydes has won 6 of his last 7 fights and is on a two-fight win streak in the heavyweight division.

Curtis Blaydes appeared with James Lynch in a recent interview and elaborated his views on his upcoming fight.

Blaydes said, “I would be honest; probably not. Even if I come out with a flying elbow or whatever, I will most likely end up getting the winner of Tuivasa and Ciryl Gane. That’s just how it is, so yeah.”

He expressed his disappointment on how it’s tough for him to grab a title shot even if he pulls up an exceptional fight over Aspinall

Razor had fought the title champion Francis Ngannou and had lost two times. If He gets a title shot, it would be an expectational trilogy bout in the heavyweight division.

‘The Predator is at the top of the food chain, is a revered as the knockout artist and all heavyweight prospects have eyes on him.

Meanwhile, facts state that Tom Aspinall standing undefeated in UFC and his win over Curtis Blaydes would fetch him a title shit against Francis Ngannou.

Lossing this match would rank Razor below the heavyweight division, and a future title shot might be a faraway dream for him.
