Titled ‘Freestylebender’, Israel Adesanya opened his own YouTube channel in 2021. Ahead of challenging Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259, Israel Adesanya began flexing his lifestyle n YouTube.
In just a span of two years, he has a million people following the channel. Several UFC fighters like Sean O’Malley, Michael Bisping, and Alexander Volkanovski, amongst others, have their own YouTube channel.
While Israel Adesanya falls into that category, he has made sure to become a kingpin in the Internet game too. The New Zealander fighter is now friends with many superstars, including Jason Momoa, Logan Paul, and others. Hence, his superstardom shall only expand from here.
‘Izzy’ just had a career-defining victory against Alex Pereira at UFC 287, which he seems to be relishing even now. Meanwhile, he also appears excited to fight again immediately. In a recent presser, Dana White confirmed the fact that Adesanya has been demanding his next opponent.
By the end of 2023, we can expect ‘The Last Stylebender’ to defend his UFC middleweight title, either against Robert Whittaker or Dricus Du Plessis.
UFC: Israel Adesanya Has His Next Opponents Lined Up
After beating Alex Pereira, Izzy clarified his intentions of facing Du Plessis next. However, Dricus Du Plessis is still below several more contenders, especially former champion Robert Whittaker. Du Plessis and Whittaker will fight each other at UFC 290.
The winner of the fight is expected to get the next title shot against 185 lbs champion Israel Adesanya. It means Izzy can already begin his operations. Robert Whittaker has already suffered two losses against Izzy. In the last nine years, Whittaker has only lost two Adesanya twice. It remains to be seen whether he can avenge that loss but for that, he shall get past Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 290.
