UFC 295- When it comes to the UFC, there are very few who come close to the level of danger that Jon Jones represents. After 15 years of dominance, during which he earned the title of the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) thanks to his fighting style, where he rarely took significant damage from his opponents.

However, at the recent UFC 295 PPV event against Stipe Miocic, Jones had reportedly intended to retire. Unfortunately, his retirement fight has been derailed by an injury, causing him to lose out on a $6 million fighting opportunity. Let’s delve into the details.

It appears that the UFC PPV events have been cursed by the cancellation of main events recently. Just recently, the main event between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev was canceled. Now, Dana White has shared a video on social media, announcing the cancellation of the Jones vs. Miocic fight and revealing that the co-main event between Alex Periera and Jiri Prochazka will now take the main event slot.

It’s unfortunate to hear that Jon Jones suffered a severe injury during a sparring session, tearing the tendon that connects his pectoral muscle to the bone. In his absence, fans will see Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich competing for the interim heavyweight title. Check out the video below.

For those who don’t know, Jones was reportedly planning to retire after this fight. His trainer, Gordon Ryan, recently stated in a post that Jones might quit the sport after UFC 295, which now seems to be postponed, and he will return to fight after 8 months. It will be interesting to see who he will face in the octagon.
