Cejudo vs Sterling PREVIEW

Before his title defense against Henry Cejudo at UFC 288, Aljamain Sterling is confident. ‘Funk Master’ stated in the video that he complements Cejudo nicely. Although having won an Olympic gold medal in wrestling, the former two-division UFC champion thinks there are more ways for him to prevail, saying:

“I know you are good at the clinch work, grappling, and other stuff like that, but I just think I have more methods to win, and I think that’s going to be the difference in this battle,” the fighter said.

It will be intriguing to watch Cejudo’s performance following a three-year absence. Considering that he has been instructing during his break from competitive play, it’s feasible that he has developed in other ways and might wow fans.

“The Funkmaster” Aljamain Sterling may have controversially earned his title after being disqualified for an illegal knee. Still, with subsequent victories over Petr Yan and TJ Dillashaw, he has disproved skeptics like Dana White. In his most recent battle, he outclassed Dillashaw, who had a shoulder injury going into the contest. Sterling beat Dillashaw with punches and elbows before winning via TKO in the second round.

The wrestler who won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing is hardly an underdog, despite being well past the peak of his career and returning after a more than 3-year absence. Cejudo is listed as a +110, which means a $100 wager would return $110. These odds speak to the fame and qualifications of Cejudo, who will attempt to become a 2x Bantamweight champion with a victory against Sterling despite having not competed in years and now caring for a wife and daughter.
