  • Santiago Ponzinibbio defeats Alex Morono in third round

Santiago onzinibbio came back with a decisive knockout to win his fight against Alex Morono at UFC 282 after presumably losing the first two rounds. This victory ended his two-bout losing streak. At 2:29 in the third round, Morono’s fight ended after taking two vicious right hooks from Ponzinibbio.

Ponzinibbio’s victory was significant since he had lost two split decisions in his previous two games. As for Morono, it’s unlikely that he will suffer too much damage regardless of the result because he agreed to this contest with only six days’ notice after former champion Robbie Lawler was forced to withdraw from UFC 282.

  • UFC 282: Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeats Chris Daukaus via 1st-round KO

In keeping with his commitment to start quickly at UFC 282, Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeated Chris Daukaus in just 23 seconds. Rozenstruik (13-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) delivered a barrage of punches and jumping knees that caused Daukaus (12-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC) to wobble about the cage until the fight was over. This was the third straight loss for Daukaus.

At UFC 282, Edmen Shahbazyan revealed a significantly more patient side of himself. In the middleweight match, Dalcha Lungiambula (11-6 MMA, 2-5 UFC) was defeated by TKO by Shahbazyan (12-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) at the 4:41 mark of Round 2.

  • Chris Curtis def. Joaquin Buckley via second-round KO

Chris Curtis stopped Joaquin Buckley at UFC 282 on Saturday, resuming his winning ways in dramatic form. The middleweight battle at T-Mobile Arena started tentatively, but things improved in the second round. After Buckley (15-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC) attempted a high kick, Curtis (30-9 MMA, 4-1 UFC) intercepted it and loaded up a brutal left hand that caused a significant knockdown.

After Buckley was sent to the ground, Curtis surrounded him and, after landing follow-up blows, compelled the referee to call time.

  • UFC 282: Billy Quarantillo def. Alexander Hernandez via 2nd-round TKO

At UFC 282, Billy Quarantillo ruined Alexander Hernandez’s return to the featherweight division with a comeback victory. Quarantillo (17-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) came back to defeat Hernandez (13-6 MMA, 5-5 UFC) via standing technical knockout at the 4:30 point of Round 2 in the preliminary-card fight after losing Round 1 on all three judges’ scorecards.

Quarantillo returns to the win column with the triumph. The 34-year-old has won his last three matches through knockout. Hernandez has lost two straight games for the first time in his career.

  • Cameron Saaiman def. Steven Koslow via third-round TKO

The UFC 282 preliminary event in Las Vegas began with a bout between two bantamweight rookies, Cameron Saiiman taking on Steven Koslow on short notice.

In the last round, Saaiman made an almost-hitting spinning kick to the head to get things started. Koslow attempted a takedown, but it was blocked, and Saaiman triumphed. Saaiman regained control and moved directly to Koslow’s back with a lovely sweep. Saaiman was laying down a lot of damaged ground and pounds. Koslow rose to his feet, but Saaiman was kneeling and punching him. Koslow wasn’t putting up a fight, so the referee intervened for the standing TKO.

In the fight, Koslow had volunteered to take Ronnie Lawrence’s place around a week before the match. Through Dana White’s Contender Series, Saiiman has earned his way into the promotion.
