Nate Diaz vs Khamzat Chimaev: A clash that was rumoured for months, is now finally official after both fighters met the terms on a common ground.
This bout would obviously have Nate at a disadvantage as Borz is a bigger Opponent and have elite level ground game.
However, this will also be the last fight Nate would have in the UFC octagon as per of his current contract, which he doesn’t plan to renew for the recent time being.
Dana White will be "sad" to see @NateDiaz209 leave UFC.
Dana White Sad about Nate Diaz’s Departure: Dana White and Nate Diaz beef was taking all sorts of turns and people saw it like Dana actually hate Nate and making the match with Khamzat kind of solidified their beliefs.
However Dana disagrees and during the post DWCS media interaction UFC boss said ” I care about Nate a lot, I like Nate. Nate came in here long before that fight was ever made and we were talking about it being his last fight. I said, ‘Listen kid.’ You think about the wars that Nate Diaz has put on, the incredible fights, and big fights that he’s done with us, go do whatever you want to do, man. But getting a fight done with him isn’t as easy as it seems.
“Everybody’s like, ‘Well, why don’t you make a fight?’ Well, he asked for Francis Ngannou, you know? I could go on forever, but I won’t. We got it done. That’s the fight he wanted, we made it, and here we are.”
Dana is open for Nate returning in future and said it is always said when a guy like Nate bids goodbye.
“It’s a good fight. It’s a fight that people will want to see. It’s a fight that people will be interested in, so we’re gonna do it.” Dana White added
