“Still Paying My Ex” Mackenzie Dern Talks About The Aftermath Of Her Divorce At UFC 295 Media Day

Even after her divorce was finalized, Dern acknowledges that she has learned to flourish in the midst of turmoil since a challenging scenario like that in her personal life never just goes away.

Mackenzie Dern Talks About Her Divorce

In May 2023, Mackenzie Dern made headlines when she defeated Angela Hill in a five-round women’s strawweight mixed martial arts match that was decided by unanimous decision. Dern disclosed that she was going through a turbulent divorce before to the contest.

Brazilian professional surfer Wesley Santos was the husband of Brazilian-American BJJ champion and UFC celebrity Mackenzie Dern. The couple gave birth to a daughter called Moa in 2019. Nevertheless, the couple parted ways in 2022, and as of right now, the court has given them shared custody of their kid.

During the Media day at UFC 295, Mackenzie talked about her divorce “I realized we always have problems,” Dern said during UFC 295 media day. “Just the pressure. The last one I went through the divorce. The divorce is final but you don’t realize how much aftermath there is to it. Literally, this whole fight is still paying my ex. It’s crazy, I have to get punched in the face and you work so hard and you do all this and you have to like pay that much of something.”
