Both men are fresh off their latest wins and would play a major role in determining the bantamweight division’s future.

That said, 4^th-ranked bantamweight, Cory Sandhagen, and 7th-ranked Rob Font will not be competing in the 135 lbs weight class on August 5, 2023.

Sandhagen v Font will take place in the 140 lbs (catchweight) category, as per the official UFC reports. However, the result of the fight will definitely be a part of the bantamweight division.

Cory Sandhagen was originally lined up to face Umar Nurmagomedov this weekend. However, Nurmagomedov pulled out later suffering an injury, and got replaced by Rob Font immediately.

Apart from the Sandhagen vs Font main event, former women’s champion Jessica Andrade will co-headline the night against Tatiana Suarez.
